I am a Pacific Northwest native who loves flowers and plants. With degrees from the University of Oregon and Oklahoma University Medical Center majoring in speech-language pathology, I have enjoyed a career as a health care provider and educator. After years of creating floral designs for my home, community events, family and friends, I completed advanced certification at the Floral Design Institute where I had the pleasure of developing my creative instincts with talented people from around the world.
I created branch & bloom to offer a personalized, cost effective approach to buying, sharing and decorating with flowers and plants. As a studio florist, I focus on the needs and personal styles of my clients. I comb markets for unusual flowers, specialty containers, ribbons and accents, to make my designs as unique and stylized as the individuals who send and receive them.
I enjoy gardening, hiking and exploring the out of doors. My inspiration comes from gardens, forests, art, architecture and the interesting people I meet. I am particularly drawn to minimalist design. There is something extraordinary about the simplicity and clean line of an arching branch and the detail in a single blossom. I enjoy using conventional elements in unconventional ways to create floral designs that share novelty, celebration, surprise, whimsy and impact.
